FIRST TIME EV OWNER EXPERIENCE
Kia Niro EV (e-Niro)
and Kia Soul EV
If you want to know the differences with the new 2020 Kia Niro EV (e-Niro) and the 2019 version, this video is what you are looking for. This is an in depth look at all of the differences I found between my 1-year old 2019 Kia Niro EV SX Touring and a brand new, just received, 2020 Kia Niro EV SX Touring. Thank you to Daniel Duquette for letting me spend a few hours going over and recording video of his brand-new car. ----- Follow me on the following social media plaforms ------ Instagram: ev_olution_inevitable https://www.instagram.com/ev_olution_inevitable/ Facebook: EV-olution (evolutioninevitible) https://www.facebook.com/evolutioninevitible/ Music by Dyalla Swain: https://soundcloud.com/dyallas - Wonderful - Thank you Casey
The Kia Niro EV (e-Niro), and other Niros, have a weak spot with regards to lighting, even in my SX Touring top trim that has almost all LED lights. I bought and installed new LEDs to solve the issue. Watch this video to find out what I bought and what I fixed. DISCLAIMER: I was not paid for this review, I did not receive any products, discounts, referral codes, rebates, or any incentives whatsoever. I am just a guy who bought a product, liked it, and made a video about it. Almost 1 year of use and one winter, are the Tuxmat car mats still the best? Last year I bought and reviewed the Tuxmat car mats and called them the best car mats I have ever owned. The question… are my Kia Niro EV carpets still clean and protected? My Tuxmat Car Review: https://youtu.be/w_nbn7U5DXE NOTE 1: I have not been endorsed by the company, not paid, not given any rebates, no free stuff, nothing! I just like these mats and wanted to share my experience. NOTE 2: Tuxmat ships to the US and Canada but is not yet shipping to Europe. Can wheels be designed just for electric cars? Yes they can and I will be one of the first in Canada to install these on the 2019 Kia Niro EV. They look amazing and will offer excellent efficiency. NOTE: AT 6:10 I indicate that the offset is different than the original, but this is not the case, both have 50mm offset. IMPORTANT: I was NOT sponsored, paid, or anything of that sort, to make this video. As in all of my videos I bought everything myself, for me. This is just me and my opinion about stuff I bought. The Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV are cousins, similar with shared technology, but not identical and with one major difference. Find out what makes them so different by watching this video. The best car mats, with the most coverage, the nicest look and feel, and best fit. I have owned many cars over the last 30+ years, I have owned a variety of car mats from manufacturers as well as aftermarket mats, including Weathertech, but the ones in my video are by far the best I have ever owned. I bought them for my 2019 Kia Niro EV and love them, then bought a set for my wife’s electric car. They are available for pretty much any make and model of vehicle. NOTE 1: I have not been endorsed by the company, not paid, not given any rebates, no free stuff, nothing! I just like these mats so much I wanted to share my experience. Maybe one day the manufacturer will set up a rebate code, or affiliate link to show you all some love ;-) NOTE 2: Tuxmat ships to the US and Canada, but not yet shipping to Europe. Some of the 2019 Kia Niro EV features and functionality are harder to find and unless you read the giant manual you may be missing out on some cool things. These not so obvious features should also apply to the Hyundai Kona Electric as well as the new 2020 Kia Soul EV since both share DNA with the Kia Niro EV. If you want to see more hidden features: Kia Niro EV Hidden Features Part 1: https://youtu.be/55hAhtO-Sy8 Kia Niro EV Forgotten Features: https://youtu.be/98D8LoM7KGQ I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has subscribed so far, I have surpassed my 500 subscriber goal. This is really big for me so thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Now that I have hit 500 it’s time to dream big! My next goal is 1000 subscribers, if you could please help me get there by clicking the SUBSCRIBE button it would really help. Thanks again! André Laurence
I let a bunch of strangers test drive my 2019 Kia Niro EV! The AVEQ is an electric car association that promotes sustainable transportation in my province and one way they do this is by organizing EV shows where people can sign up to test drive a variety of models of electric cars that are owned by EV owners like me. This is the 3rd AVEQ event that I attend and will be at another on September 14th. Android Auto has had an update to its in-car interface and there is a way to force your phone to use it if you have not received the server push from Google. In this video I will show you how to do it and what it looks like in my Niro EV. On a side note, I had been editing this video for over 2 hours when I noticed that I had imported the video of Android Auto with the wrong settings. Seeing as I am already late in getting this video out I did not want to scrap over 2 hours of work so please forgive the crappy quality of that particular part of the video… Noob error. Be sure to watch to the very end... In the last video I showed several hidden features I found in the 2019 Kia Niro EV (eNiro). As it turns out, thanks to a comment from YouTube user J B, I forgot to show a feature and it reminded me of another one that I had found and forgot to add! I also received a question from YouTube user Paul Allsop in the last video so I figured I would answer that as well. If you would click the SUBSCRIBE button I would be really grateful as I am close to my personal goal of 250 subscribers. Thanks to all who have subscribed so far, it motivates me to make more videos. Thanks again!
The 2019 Kia Niro EV is loaded with features, but some things that are pretty hard to find and almost impossible to know about unless you read the giant manual. These not so obvious features should also apply to the 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric as well as the 2020 Kia Soul EV since both are very similar cars technology-wise and share DNA. Thanks to everyone who has subscribed so far, I have passed my first goal of 100 subscribers and got my custom YouTube URL: https://www.youtube.com/c/EVolution_Inevitable My next goal of 250 is not far away, please help me get there by clicking the SUBSCRIBE button. Thanks again!
What are the differences between the US and Canadian versions of the 2019 Kia Niro EV? Options and other differences, find out by watching this video. For reference here are the Web pages I used: - US Kia Niro EV: https://www.kia.com/us/en/vehicle/niro-ev/2019/features - Canadian Kia Niro EV: https://www.kia.ca/vehicles/niroev/features Making new videos is pretty time consuming and I am still learning, so thanks to everyone who posted some nice comments about my previous videos. It would also seem that, for about 10 seconds, at 4:50, I forgot about framing! Oops. Live and learn. If you have any question please let me know I will be more than happy to answer them and help. Please subscribe and like, it really helps and motivates to make more content! Thanks again.
Monday June 24th was the inauguration of the new Montréal bridge, Pont Samuel-de-Champlain, replacing an aging bridge to the South Shore of Montréal. The Québec Electric Car association, in collaboration with Club Tesla Québec, held an event where 517 electric car owners came together in 3 different parking lots near the bridge and all left at the same time, around 5am, to make an electric crossing. My son and I were part of it in my new 2019 Kia Niro EV and it was epic! After the crossing there were about 80 of us who went to a restaurant nearby and had a great time. AVEQ holds electric car events on a regular basis, where you can test drive almost any EV, owned by people, not dealers, so you can get a true idea of what the cars are like and what the owner thinks of his or her car. You can even schedule a test drive and not wait for an event. Before getting my 2019 Kia Niro EV I had no idea what UVO Intelligence was and knew nothing about how it worked. When I browsed the Web I didn’t find anything recent, or relevant to the Niro EV. So in an attempt to fill a void, this video will show you the basics of registering, setting up for UVO Intelligence in a Kia electric vehicle, as well as some of the basics of how to use it.
